result is the Solna D388 with a new independent drive system and plate cylinders with narrow gaps, all these features are combined to offer superior print quality and productivity.
Solna D388 equipped with one AC motor for ench unit,
eliminating the limitations of a conventional shaft driven press. Printing flexibility is also as high as the units can be operated independently. There are no mechanical drive
connections between units using eighter belts or shafts.
Circumferential and side-lay register of the plate cylinders is adjusted from the main console, resulting in faster start-up and less waste. The printing units can be
equipped with motorized or digital ink controls provided by a
variety of suppliers.
Designed to combine high printing speeds with superior print quality. This capability demands that all rotating parts are dynamically balanced with particular care.The narrow gaps of the cylinders offer a longer printing length and minimize
abrasion.
The SolnaD388 can be installed in your existing
printing press in the position of your choice either as a
replacement or as an extension without considering your present press drive. Towers may be added to an existing press so that no production time is lost while the new solna D388 is being installed.
The maximum speed of the D388 is 40,000sph and can be combined with D300 and D600 to form a complete press line printing 4+2 or 4+4 color pages.

Frame

driven by famous Swedish made Swedrives.

The ink fountain rollers ensures an even ink flow that varies with press speeds accordingly.

The water fountain rollers are steel chromium-plated to ensure an even and stable supply of water.

Ink feed roller
The ink feed rollers transfers a small amount of ink on an evenly grooved surface to ensure a proper and even ink transfer.

Quick plate lock up device has a narrow gap of 1.5mm, other types of plate lock up are available on request.

Blanket lock up device
Plate cylinders are driven by individual motors. Circumferential and lateral movement of both plate cylinders can be adjusted independently from the main control desk.

Modern design with 3-layer doors allow for an ease to open making
maintenance convenient.

The automatic grease
lubrication system keeps a non-stop supply of oil during production, this operation is grease lubricated.
